  1. Hi Guys,
I am taking IGCSE in India and I am in ninth grade. I want to go back to America for 10th, but will they make me repeat 9th grade? And also, I want to become an aeronautical engineer. I take english, e-maths, spanish, biology, physics, business studies, and computer sciences. Will that be enough?

Again, thanks for all the help guys.

    • Hey Kavin,

If you’re going to an IGCSE school, we don’t think they will make you repeat 9th grade. Just remember do not change your school when you’re entering 11th grade. Normally IGCSE schools won’t take new student at 11th grade.

We would suggest you to consider taking Chemistry and Additional Maths if you want to do engineering course.

  2. Hello,

I’m in year 10 and I’m sitting for my IGCSEs in May. I live in Libya and I’m in an international school that follows the IGCSE but the problem is there is no grade 11 or 12 in my school, and i don’t know how to study for my A levels.
    Thank you.

    • Hello Thana,

We do not understand how you could do IGCSE at year 10? Are you sure you have covered all required syllabus to sit for the exam this May?

You could try other school that offers A-Level, or you could do home-schooling (a.k.a study by yourself) then sit for the exam as Private Candidate.

  3. Hi,

  4. Hi,I would like to know what subjects are compulsory for Aeronautical Engineering. Thank you. I am taking my IGCSEs this year.

    • Hi Nathan,

The usual subjects for engineering are: English, Maths, Additional Maths, Physics, Chemistry. You may want to write to the university and see if they required any specific subject.
