    • Hello Arnob,

Please check with your chosen university for their subject entry requirements. Mathematics is usually part of the required subjects.

      Thank you.

  1. Is it possible to take edexcel maths igcse after completed edexcel advanced level accounting and business studies because I did not taken maths igcse and now I realized it is important

    • Hello Arnob,

Please check with your preferred universities regarding the combining results from separate examination series. Some universities would only accept exam results within a certain period, for example: within 13 months or 24 months between the first IGCSE exam and the last IGCSE exam.

      Thank you.

  2. What to do if I face clash date between edexcel igcse and as level for example accounting paper 1 June 10 2 pm and accounting paper 1 (AS) June 10 2 pm

    • Hi Arnob,

We do not suggest registering for subjects that have clashing exam dates. Your grades will be affected due to missing exam components.

  3. Qualify means pass and getting a certificate means pass with D E F G grade in edexcel igcse unlike U grade which is fail and no qualification or certificate is given is it right

    • Hi Arnob,

Yes, you are correct. Earning the qualification means you will be awarded a certificate. Please note that you still have to check the universities’ entry requirements if they accept grades lower than a C.

  4. My first question is , Is it easy to register for edexcel AS accounting with grade g in igcse accounting as a private candidate or school candidate. Second question is Does school does not accept for registering accounting AS level for grade g in accounting igcse edexcel or it is rule from Pearson Edexcel for schools to stop registering for accounting AS level for received G grade in accounting igcse.

    • Hello Arnob,

We cannot confirm this for you as we are not the exam board nor an exam centre. We suggest that you write to Edexcel about this matter. You may reach them through their website: https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/home.html.

Furthermore, if you read the Accounting syllabus, it is stated under the Prior learning and other requirements that “Students who would benefit most from studying these qualifications are likely to have a Level 2 qualification such as an International GCSE in Accounting at grades 9 to 4 or A* to C.”

      Thank you for your understanding.
