    Many thanks.

  4. Hi.

In what type of writing (directed, descriptive, narrative) do we use emotive language?

    Many thanks.

    • Dear Tanisha,

Thank you for choosing IGCSE Centre.

Emotive language can be used in most genres including directed, descriptive and narrative writing. What is important when using emotive language is that they have to be used in context. In addition, emotive language can be used when answering Writer’s Effect.

We hope this helps. We are here for you.
