Dear igcse
If I choose to give pure maths paper 1 earlier than the other papers in as level maths syllabus and the other papers(like mechanics) in some different series is it allowed? Or I have to give all the syllabus modules in a single go.
AS Level candidates are required to take two written papers in the same examination series. For example, Pure Mathematics and Mechanics (Paper 1 and Paper 4). If you plan to do a staged route to a full A Level, you can take Probability & Statistics (Paper 4 and 5) at a subsequent series.
Dear igcse
I am confused in deciding upon As/A level maths textbook I will be giving As level exam in 2022 and A level exam in 2023. However, I have seen there is a syllabus change from 2023 and the textbooks I see are from examination from 2020. If I purchase them now will it work for whole 2 year course or they will be a new textbook release for 2023 syllabus?
Upon checking the 2023 syllabus, it says that “Any textbooks endorsed to support the syllabus for examination from 2020 are suitable for use with this syllabus.”
AS Level exam papers are the same with the AS/A Level exam papers. For example in Biology (9700), candidates for AS Level certification take Papers 1, 2 and 3 (either Advanced Practical Skills 1 or Advanced Practical Skills 2) in a single examination series.
Candidates who, having received AS certification, wish to continue their studies to the full A Level qualification may carry their AS marks forward and take Papers 4 and 5 in the examination series in which they require certification.
Candidates taking the full A Level qualification at the end of the course take all five papers in a single examination series.

These papers are for the AS and A level examinations, while I am looking for only AS level exam past papers.
