If i may ask, why is it that the specimen papers for 2017 French (0520) have been uploaded but not for the other subjects? and if you do upload them, when will you upload them by? thank you very much and great job on the website.
Hi Maryanne,
Thank you for your kind words.
Specimen papers are only available when there is a change in the syllabus. ?Specimen papers? will not be available if the syllabus remains the same.
History 0417 has many contents that are needed for paper 1 exam. To prepare for Section A in paper 1, do i have to know all the 7 core topics? I find it very difficult to remember the dates and don’t know what exactly do i need to know for the test. Please help me
Hi Amanda,
The syllabus states:
?Section A contains eight questions: four questions will be set from the 19th century Core Content in Option A and four questions will be set from the 20th century Core Content in Option B. Candidates answer any two questions.?
Since you only answer 2 questions from any Option (Option A or Option B), you can choose to concentrate your preparation in either Option. If you choose to prepare only for Option A, you need to learn all the topics in Option A. Same goes for Option B.
Please get the syllabus and find out what are the topics in each Option here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/.
However, it is customary that schools would teach both Options, and it is beneficial for your knowledge as well.
0417 is ICT not History
Heyy, has anyone had the ICT (0417) practical paper 22 or 32 (aka zone 4) ? And how was it, any difficult questions? Was it similar to 2016?
~Thank you v. much
yea i did ict paper 2 in zone 4, it was extremely easy since i practiced, if you know all the methods its very simple and yes it is much like 2016 paper, nothing new
I did 21 and 31 and yes, they where similar to 2016
hi can u tel me more about 31? Like anything hard or special?
Well it’s similar to 2016 but the evaluation is a bit harder (don’t remember in what) and the formulas in the spreadsheet are more complicated
I did paper 21 , I have 31 on 27th . any tips for it ? or like any advice to focus more on , because paper 3 is a bit difficult sinse excel takes more time and thinking ?
I found paper 3 difficult in the spreadsheet. but Paper 2 was soo easy.
anyone did paper 1 yet?
Anyone did variant 2?
Hi, IGCSE
I recently did my ICT practical exam. when i printed my powerpoint at first i didnt get it but got it the second time i printed, i think the invigilator might have given my papers to someone else because ive seen her give bundles of paper to people without checking the names, my name was on the paper so if that person decided to keep my paper would i be in trouble for mal practice. i didnt want to cause a fuss in the exam room so i didnt say anythng during the exam but i realised now that maybe i should have.
Hi Yousif,
It?d be best to speak to your exam officer about this.
