  1. Hey Guys,
Any tips for the IGCSE French : Foreign Language (0520) Papers 1 (Listening) and 4 (Continuous Writing).. I have them tomorrow and i am scared!

Also, please help me with Biology (0610) Paper 5!! I always lose marks and I don’t know what to prepare before hand.
    Thanks 😀

    • I have them tomorrow as well 🙂
I think for the listening you should just listen the whole time carefully and the first time they play it write in pencil and the second time write in pen.
Paper 4 I haven’t really thought about 0.0 Just learn some vocabulary and do past papers because they really help. If you get stuck on one of the essays don’t freak out. Just write in simple French. They aren’t looking for you to be as good as a French person so if you get stuck just write simple but correct French 😉

    • just know 20 verbs at hand
expressions such as cepedant, d’autre part, malgre, aussi

      goodluck in listeningz 😀

        • you’re upset about 92% ? I found the listening paper much tougher than usual though, hope the grade thresholds are lenient!

          • Well if im aiming for a 95% in French then 92% is definitely not good enough haha! plus many people thought it went well so the grade threshold could be high that’s why im scared!! 🙁 paper 2 HAS to be good! hope 1hr is enuf

          • 92%? Im hoping for an A* in all my subjects but french listening was so pathetic that I will have to pray to all the lords above to get into a B! But at least you found it harder than normal

        • Hey Rahaf,
Both you are in different timezone, thus, different administrative zone. That’s how the variants of the papers come from – got it? 🙂

And don’t think you could get any “hints” of the questions. They are different 🙂

          • Omg that’s why there are variants??? wow CIE knows their stuff!! im relieved bcuz I didn’t think it fair that the people from different timezones can get to know the answers!! hehe

  2. When i try to access the files, I get redirected to a page which says there is an error. I tried opening the website on at least 3 different systems and different browers but all attempts were vain

  3. Hey IGCSE TEAM,

In my History p1, I answered Q5,6 and 11. But I mistakenly wrote Q5,6, and 9. Will I get penalised for this or will the examiner use his/her common sense and just mark it anyways?

    • Hello there,
Please do not worry about this. You have done a great job… Just keep going positively! 🙂

    • in my frontpage practicals i wrote the question lightly on my printouts with pencil. Will the printout can be cancelled or will it be marked

  4. I just wrote the history 0470 paper today, just wanted to ask how other people thought it was. Also in the answer sheet we were supposed to leave two lines between each answer but I only left one is that okay?

    • It was okay I guess, I did questions 5, 7 and 12 😛
I doubt they will penalize you over not leaving two lines 0.0
If your answers are good it would be silly to remove marks over something like that. They probably want two lines in between so it can be neat.

      • i did questions 5, 6, and 11………
I was really happy to see a question on both treaty of Versailles and League of Nations…….but I really wish there was a question on Weimar republic, I love that chapter so much……..

    • It was pretty easy. I did 5 7 and 11.

I forgot to leave two lines as well hahaha but my exam’s officer said not to worry.
