  2. Hi,

    I was wondering if anyone knows how to structure a response for english paper 3. I have the exam tomorrow and have been doing some past papers and am slightly confused. I though question 1 always asked you to write a letter, however I have found two papers that ask you to write it in the form of a speech and a conversation. For a speech you would just speak to your audience and use things like repetition…? anything else? Then I have no clue how to structure a response for a conversation. Is it kind of like a play? Do you for example write
    bob: ……… (what he says)
    jill: ……..
    bob: ….
    and so on?

    Can someone please help clear this up.

    Thanks 🙂

    • Hi Lucy,
      Yes, this is the correct format for speech. Make sure you have got a proper introduction and ending as well.

    • A speech is alot like persuasive writing: give the advantages, diadvantages and your opinion! I think a title would be appropriate! dialogue is very easy and is most of the time informal so be free to write on! usually its a convo between you and someone else but do not write:
      Me: …
      Bob: …
      write it like this;
      Lucy: …..
      bob: ….
