  1. May I know whether my marks will be deducted if I write 2 decimal place for angles or more than 3 significant figures in extended maths exam? Mark Scheme doesn’t mention these

    • Hi Pranav,

You can refer to the ?examiner report?. You will be able to see the examiner feedback on the common error. There are actually a lot of common error related to decimal points.

If you refer to the instructions in the past exam papers, it says ?If the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question, and if the answer is not exact, give the answer to three significant figures. Give answers in degrees to one decimal place.?

Always refer to the instructions and what the questions want you to do.

  2. Dear IGCSE centre,

When will the may/june 2017 session past papers be uploaded after the results are released on 10th of August?

    Thank you.

    • Hi Bob, we do not have a fixed date to upload the papers. We upload the past exam papers as soon as we get ahold of them ? can be anytime after the results are released. You may need to check our website from time to time.

    • Hi Aisha,

The IGCSE examination is equivalent to Year 11/10th Grade, depending on where you’re from. Typically, the examination is taken by students age 14 – 16. However, there is no minimum age requirement, as long as the candidate is judged to have the ability and confidence to sit the examinations. You can read more here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/what-is-igcse/

As to where you can sit for the examination, you will have to check the British Council at your local area or you can also find a list of registered Cambridge schools in your local area here: https://www.cie.org.uk/i-want-to/find-a-cambridge-school/ and check with the school if they accept a private candidate.
