    • Hi Layaly,

All candidates must answer the two written paper in English.

In Paper 1, candidates should study the passages in a recognised English translation, but with reference to the original Arabic text. In the examination passages will be set in both Arabic and English. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of the original as well as the translation.

In Paper 2, candidates should study the passages with reference to the original Arabic text as well as the English translation. In the examination, passages will be set in both Arabic and English.

    • Hi Sai,

The Paper 2 for Business Studies is a written examination consisting of four questions based on a case study, provided as an Insert with the paper. This type of examination test the candidate?s case study skills. As such you must demonstrate the application of knowledge and concepts using the given scenario.

  1. Hello
    I have a question
If you write an answer that is not in the marking scheme, but relevant to the question asked and is in the syllabus , will they still mark it?

    • Hi Natalie,

Sometimes the answer has to be exactly as given in the mark scheme, especially the correct terms used for science subjects, business subjects etc… Other times there will
be an acceptable range of answers. Other suggestions from candidates that are accurate and relevant would also be awarded marks. The mark scheme does explain this part very well, please kindly refer to the mark scheme.
