Hello, am doing my IGCSE’s next year May-June. Am planning on studying abroad, what other certificates do i need other than my IGCSE Certificate? Do i have to do A-Levels or Ib?
Hi Abdelraheem,
Usually, the normal procedure is after completing IGCSE, you need to complete A-Levels or equivalent qualification to apply for university.
However, there are some universities which accept students with excellent IGCSE results. Some universities offer foundation programs which do not require A level. However, it’s best to check the entry requirements either from the university’s website or contact the university directly.

Hi, I’m doing my IGCSEs next month :O
Really sad about what happened to this website! It was the best, but I did find papers from an alternate..
What are tips u can give me for Physics?
Hello Hailey,
Here are some tips for you:
– The number of marks is a guide to how long to spend on each question or parts of a question.
– If a part of a question is worth three marks you should make at least three separate points. Be careful to not make the same point three times.
– When reading the question, decide which area of physics is being asked. Do not just look at a few words as it may lead to misunderstanding the question.
– The questions usually include stimulus materials that contains all the relevant information. The information can be given in different ways: a diagram, a graph or a table. Study the materials thoroughly as it often provide clues and answers to the question.
– Learn and understand the key concepts and formulas. Familiarise/memorise the key equations/formulas (refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/ )
– Try solving a problem with the formula without looking it up. You MUST do this as many times as you can. You will be able to remember the formulas/key equations better when you repeat this step.
We wish you well with your exams.
Thank you very much!
And I see the papers are back, that is a great thing!

Hi igcse team,

My marks were so bad!!!
Please help me with some tips and tell me what should I do. I wanna score good marks on OCT/NOV 2019.

Hello Salman,
You should start doing your revision based on the latest syllabus: (https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-o-level-subjects-syllabuses/) and practice with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistakes that you always seem to make.
