Hi,
Please can you help me out as i am using a software called kompozer to do html in ict paper 3.Can i know if im allowed to use this in my igcse’s.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Hello Bob,
In the practical tests, candidates are able to use a WYSIWYG editor but they must be able to edit HTML manually and have a limited understanding of HTML.
Alternatively, you may want to contact CAIE directly for confirmation regarding this matter. You can write them here: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/
Dear IGCSE Centre,
I would like to ask three queries pertaining to IGCSE FLE (0500):
1. Is there any particular website or source where Cambridge generally obtains its passages from?
2. Are there any resources, other than the specimen papers, for the 2020 examinations?
3. Are there any categories based on which passages are chosen for examination papers?
Hi Dhruv,
For specific questions pertaining to exam papers, you have to write to the exam board directly. Please write to CAIE here: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/
We do have some resources reflecting the new syllabus. You may refer here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/igcse-exam-resources/
Dear IGCSE Team,
For IGCSE First Language English, our school textbook has chapters in terms of things such as Travel or Health, etc. Are these themes of the textbook the same themes IGCSE uses in FLE?
Also, the Specimen Papers of 2020 are the only resource of the new Paper 1 pattern for March 2020 examinations… is there anyway we can practise for it otherwise?
Thanks and regards.
Hello Dhruv,
Schools usually choose textbooks that are suitable for IGCSE syllabus. You may see the indication on your textbooks. Otherwise, please kindly consult your teacher/school.
English First Language will not have the Core syllabus from year 2020. All candidates now have access to grades A*-G. You may use the Extended past exam papers of year 2019 as your practices. As for the new Reading paper format, unfortunately the Specimen paper is the only resource available to reflect how the actual exam paper would be in the year 2020.
Thank you
Hi Dhruv,
You are very much welcome.
Hi, May I ask if there’s a link for cambridge checkpoint past papers thanks
Hello Cypher,
Thank you for writing in. We do not have Checkpoint exams. Checkpoint exam is only available in Cambridge School for schooled candidates. If you are a private candidate, this exam is not applicable to you, as it is not available for private candidate. However, if you are a schooled candidate and if your school is a registered Cambridge School, you must abide to your school’s Checkpoint exam procedures.

Hello Abby,
You are very much welcome. MP3 files are also uploaded together with the past papers. Please let us know which listening files you need.
Hi, IGCSE Centre. I have my IGCSE Hindi Mock Exam tomorrow. Please post the listening track for 2019 Feb-March. Thank you in advance. Please do so soon as I need to start studying.
