hi,
I was quite confused on when to convert my answers in maths to 3 significant figures
Pls, could you guide me ?
Regards,
Bob
Hello Bob,
If the degree of accuracy is not specified in the question, and if the answer is not exact, give the answer to three significant figures. For example, if your answer is 12.298, the answer should be given in three significant figures. Thus you should write your answer as 12.3.
What do you mean by non exact ?
And when the answer is in money do we have to give it to 2 d.p?
Hello Bob,
This is best explained with examples.
1.076 ➔ 1.08
2345.07 ➔ 2340
Furthermore, currency should be rounded to 2 decimals while for angles, give it to 1 decimal place.

Some tips for Physics 0625 especially MULTIPLE CHOICE PAPER 21 AND THEORY 61
Hello Arc,
Please read our tips below:
For Paper 2:
– Work through the paper carefully. Do not miss out any question for any reason – you may then start placing your answers in the wrong places.
– Do not attempt to look for any pattern or any lack of pattern in the answers. In other words, do not worry about how many questions have been answered A, B, C or D and do not worry about the distribution of As, Bs, Cs and Ds.
– Be confident in answering the questions. When you are well-prepared, confidence will follow.
For Paper 6
– It is essential that you read alternative to practical exam papers very carefully
– Follow the instructions on the paper so that you do the correct experiments and record the correct observations
– Write down exactly what you see – as differences or similarities

Hello IGSCE

Thanks a lot.
Hello Mai,
Unfortunately, we do not have a copy of the formula sheet code. You may use google to look for other resources. Thank you.
hey, so glad ur back! so, i was wondering for economics (0455) for the 4 marks questions which say ‘mention 2 points/reasons’ …will they cut marks if i write 3 points? because i heard that they dont and i know many ppl who wrote 3 pnts and got A*s. not sure…pls reply.
Hello Bruno,
Thank you for appreciating our efforts.
When you provide more than what is required, you will not lose marks but you will lose time. In such a situation the examiner will usually take the first two answers: the examiner will not select the correct answers from your list.
Hope this helps.
just one more query…about my previous question…
lets say my first reason is wrong and my 2nd and 3rd are correct and are self sufficient for me to obtain 4/4 marks. do they check the 2nd and 3rd if the first is wrong?
Hello Bruno,
The examiner will not select the correct answers from your list, they will only mark your first two answers.
hey igcse,
do caie inserts o level questions in igcse board exams???
if no, then why is my school inserting o level questions for preliminary question
preliminary exams*
Hello there,
IGCSE and O Level have slight differences in the syllabus, and the style of the exam papers are different as well.
We are not certain why your school adds O-Level questions to your IGCSE preliminary exams, it might be for practices purposes. Please kindly get the clarification from your school.
