Hi Team,
How can a student gain A* in English First Language 0500 ? There are Paper 2 Reading and Paper 3 Writing and the % of total marks are different.. What is the grade combination that a student must achieve in each of the two papers in order to attain an overall highest A* of the final score for the subject?

I saw your comment that you have students who are taking IGCSE in 2017, signing up for your revision classes now? My son is in Year 9 now and will be taking his IGCSE in 2017. He is struggling in his subjects. May I know how will the revision classes help him now as I thought they are meant for Year 11 students?
Hello Mei Ping,
Yes, the courses are designed to help candidates to achieve A*. However, some candidates use our courses to help them to understand better what they have learnt either from school / self-study. They usually study alongside with their books, and often time they learn what they don’t learn from school.
Some candidates are homeschoolers, they spread out their exams in different examination session. Or, some candidates are starting Year 10 now, therefore the examination year would be May/June 2017.
You can see the above testimonial from a candidate who had improved his scores in the school’s exams. He was in Grade 10, during the last session.
If your son is just starting Year 9 now, it would be too early for him to enrol. As he still needs to go through the Checkpoint Test before Year 10.

Hi Yash,
For English, you must read a lot in order to improve. You must read a wide range of materials to broaden your writing skills.
