    • Hello Ansh,

Usually, it is decided by teachers based on the achievement of the student in school. However, if you are a private candidate, you may choose based on your ability. You can read more here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/what-is-igcse/

The Core curriculum in each subject is within the ability range of a large majority of students. It provides a full overview of the subject and is targeted at students expected to achieve grades C to G.

The Extended curriculum, made up of the Core curriculum and the Supplement, has been designed for the more academically able and leads naturally into higher education or professional training. It is targeted at those expected to achieve grades A* to E.

If your child feels he/she can do better and enter Extended curriculum, you can accompany your child and discuss with the teacher. We understand the achievement in school doesn’t dictate the final outcome, as we have got many candidates below passing point before joining our online courses, and excel to grade A and A* in the actual IGCSE exams after taking our online courses.

You may want to consider these A* online courses for your child. Please read more here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/

  1. Hello Sir,
My son would be giving the may-june 2020 series of the examinations. We do not want to hold all subjects for march revision courses. Do you think he can take up physics and chemistry revision course happening in August. ? Please suggest. Thank you.
    Regards,
    Padma

    • Hello Padma,

Thank you for your interest. It’s never too early to join the revision courses. We suggest that you register him only for Sciences subjects this revision course as next year’s examination will still follow the current syllabus.

However for Math and English subjects, it is best that you wait for our next year revision course instead. There are some changes in 2020 syllabus for Math and English examinations. As such, we would change the content of our revision courses next year.

For the list of topics, you may check it here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/ and compare it with the syllabus here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/

The exam registration slip and candidate proof of identity (National ID/Passport) are required to enrol into our courses. If hd will be registering for the June 2020 series and exam registration slip is not available, you may use both his passport and national ID. If further clarification is needed, our team will contact you.

  2. Hi,
I am sitting for the June series and I am homeschooled but I have a passport and national ID would this qualify me for attending your current courses? I don’t want to leave all the subjects for the March/April course.
    Thanks

On the other hand for Math and English subjects, it is best that you wait for our next year revision course instead. There are some changes in 2020 syllabus for Math and English examinations. As such, we would change the content of our revision courses next year.

  3. Hi.
    1. Do you have revision courses for commerce subjects(economics, business etc)? If not can u recommend sites/resources?
2.Do you have revision courses for As and A level subjects? If not can u recommend sites/resources?
    Thanks.

    • Hello Mary,

Thank you for your interest. We only offer the subjects listed above. As such, we do not have revision courses for commerce subjects and for AS/A-Level.
Furthermore, we currently do not have the capacity to add another subject for our revision courses. However, we will submit your suggestion for review.

  4. Will these courses be suitable for the Feb/Mar 2020 candidates as there are some changes specially in the Mathematics and EFL syllabi.

    • Hello Ala,

The content of our revision course follows the current syllabus for the current examination.

For the list of topics, you may check it here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-revision-courses/

For year 2020 examinations, we would change the content next year. We do not have a separate revision for March series. For March series candidates, you may consider to enrol this revision session, as all examination techniques are the same.
