Hi! My name is Subhan Siddique. I am doing IGCE in Pakistan(RMS), since I came from America in the 6th grade I cant write or read Urdu. so I don’t have a second language and my teacher says I have to take Urdu classes to pass IGCE. So is that really true? And if I go back to America when I’m done with IGCE well they hold me back a year?
Not that we aware that you “must” take Urdu in order to pass IGCSE. Just think in a logical way, does that mean ALL the students in the WORLD “must” take Urdu in order to pass IGCSE?
IGCSE awards certificates for each subject that you take. While O-Level awards only one certificate upon you passing each group of subjects that you have chosen. Thus, separating subjects will only earn you the individual certificate in IGCSE, but not an O-Level certificate.
Hi!! My name is Cathlyn , age 15 and im from Indonesia. Im currently taking IGCSE, May/June 2015. My current subjects are Core Maths, Combined Science, ESL, Mandarin(foreign languange), Geography, Accounting, Business, and ICT . My only concerned is my Core Maths, Combined Science and ESL because all i know is that when taking A and AS level it is needed to take Extended Maths, 2 or 3 pure sciences and also EFL especially when applying to a good university/ college. so, is it possible for me to resit for the IGCSE? And is it true that the max score for Core Maths is only C( even though you get e.g 90)? Also i was given a choice whether to choose NCC or A and AS level. Which one would you reccomend for me to choose especially when i plan to go abroad, either UK or US thank you god bless

IS IGCSE and O-Level results are asked in USA colleges????
Hi Anan,
Yes. But you need to be really distinction in order to enter straight into colleges without taking A-Level.
Else, you can always finish your IGCSE or O-Level, advance to A-Level or pre-university classes, then apply for colleges in US.
