  As we did not see how you wrote “outside the margin”, we really can’t tell you whether it would get scanned or not. As we have already mentioned million of times here, DO NOT try to write outside the lines, then come here to ask for “help” 🙂
  
  We can’t “help” as the paper will be marked by CIE. If your answers were not being scanned, then they won’t be marked. In this case, you won’t obtain any marks for that part. You would still obtain marks for other parts that were being scanned.
  
  Just ask for a new piece of paper, it won’t hurt. We honestly couldn’t understand why there are still so many candidates so “stubborn” about this point.
