  Yes, you may use highlighters. Actually coloured pencils are the best, as you can always make changes if your first fews are not so suitable. You can always erase out the first fews, and leave the rest more suitable ones later for your answers. In this way, you won’t confuse yourself with so many points being highlighted but not all are relevant.
