  2. I have been studying English GCSE and failed the coursework twice but passed the exam both times. Coursework just isn’t for me. It looks like English IGCSE B might be for me. I am now 18, can I take this exam for the first time in November as there are no texts to study? For GCSE I had to study Of Mice and Men but IGCSE is not examined on a text. Am I correct?

    • Hi Henry,
      Please make sure which exam board that you are taking. Is it Edexcel or Cambridge? Then get the right syllabus for the subject.

      If you would like to take Cambridge board, there is no coursework if you write the exam as private candidate.

    My name is mohammed and i would like to know if my result will get me into the university as i have got 1A, 3C, 2D, 1f in igcse.
    And is f grade considered as a fail or pass in the ig exams i am entering medicine so how is it and if you can avaluate my percentage i will be thankful.

  5. Dear IGCSE team,

    How would i be sure that i would get a grade increase if i were to do a recheck for the subjects that i didn’t get the marks i was hoping for?
    Also, what are the chances of their being a grade promotion for the subjects that i failed in?

      There is no “guarantee” for grade upgrade for re-check. If you really think you should get a higher grade, you may apply for re-check.
