Hi IGCSE Team
My name is Mitchelle and I am in year 11. I am writing my exams in May/June 2018. My subjects are Maths(Extended), First Language English, Biology, Physics,Chemistry and Geography. The only problem is that I have not done year 10, I lived in South Africa where we did a different curriculum and recently moved to Abu Dhabi where I am currently doing my IGCSEs. My current grades are Bs and As, but I am worried that I wont be able to maintain that standard. Do you think it is possible for me to catch up on all the year 10 work that I missed and maintain (hopefully improve) my grades?
Hi, i’m interesed in taking the IGCSE exam, and I need information about where i can study the IGCSE in an online website. Which website would you recommend me if i’m from Chile?
Thank you
Sincerely Florencia S.

1) what is the difference between the cambridgeand the edexcel tests
2) which one of the two is better
3) what is the extented and the core syllabus
Hi Mohammad,
Please find the answers here:
1. CIE and Edexcel are 2 different exam boards.
2. They are of equivalent qualification.
3. Core syllabus covers the minimum required syllabus. Extended syllabus covers both Core syllabus and more, it is wider than Core syllabus.

Hello Mitchelle,
You would be doing fine. Just follow through. 🙂
Hey,
Can u plz tell me why does igcse have year 12 & 13? Is it compulsory for ig students to actually go on with year 12 & 13 or not (it is optional)?
Hi Batul,
Year 12 & 13 is for A Level. You would finish IGCSE in Year 11. If you wish to proceed to A Level, then you must go through Year 12 & 13.
