    I am supposed to get admission in 9 class of igcse(in Pakistan). So I want to know that when the classes will start and I also want to know about exams of igcse(in Pakistan).

  2. Hi, I understand from the above that min requirement (for some Uni) is 5 IGCSE at grade C or above. Could you provide some example combinations of 5 IGCSE subjects?
    What are the compulsory subjects to take?

    Does an Extended Curriculum = (Core Curr + Supplement)? Meaning 2 classes? (1 core class and 1 supplement class)

    What is the min requirement to go from IGCSE to IB?

      There are no compulsory subjects in IGCSE. But we do suggest to check with the college/universities that wish you apply to, and get the confirmation on required subjects in accordance to the course you would like to study in the university.

      Core syllabus cover minimum required syllabus. Extended syllabus covers both Core syllabus and more, it is wider than Core syllabus. You have to check with your school on how do they divide the classes.

      After completing IGCSE, the normal process would be proceed to any A level/IB/any equivalent qualification, then university. Again, we suggest that you check the college?s/university?s requirement.

  3. My daughter is 12 years old. We home school her (Pune, India). We want to know what are the specific subjects she could choose from (as a private candidate) to be able to successfully complete and receive her IGCSE certificate?

      If your daughter plans for further studies, you should decide on the subject based on what she want study in the university. Universities usually require a minimum of 5 subjects. You may find all the available subjects above. We strongly suggest you to check on the university entry requirements for your future studies. Furthermore, your daughter will obtain separate IGCSE certificates for each subject.

  4. I’m supposed to go to the 9th grade (High School in the United States of America). I wanted to join UK IGCSE syllabus. So, I just wanted to know, how many IGCSE subjects to take, if I want to go to Oxford University, and Harvard University? I also wanted to skip Mathematics, and Science subjects. Is that possible?

      It is wise to check with the universities that wish you apply to, and get the confirmation on required subjects in accordance to the course you would like to study in the university.

  5. Hello!
    I don’t know if I am asking a right question here, but I have to ask it anyway. I have completed M.A in English Literature and I have been teaching English to Arabic speaking ESL learners since 8 years. I would like to know how can I become eligible to teach in a school that follows IGCSE curriculum? Mostly they look for teachers who have prior experience of teaching in such curriculum.
