    • Hello Taleen,

You should start doing your revision based on the latest syllabus: (https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-surebjects-syllabuses) and practice with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistakes that you always seem to make.

You can check our A* online revision courses. These had helped numerous students to score A* The revision course provides video tutorial, revision timetable, downloadable exam-style practices, common mistakes candidates make during the exams, and also examiners’ advice. Every year we have two revision sessions. The first session will be February-April and the second one will be July-September. • Hi Hiba,

In order for you to obtain a formal qualification for your future study or as a proof that you have completed your secondary education. Furthermore, after IGCSE, you may proceed to A level or any equivalent courses in order to gain entrance into university. We strongly suggest you to check on the university entry requirements for your future studies.

  3. Hello, I wish to ask three questions about taking IGCSE examination. The first one is whether my son can take the examination in two sittings (e.g. take 5 subjects in Oct/Nov, and then other subjects in May/June). The second question is, would the results look more appealing to university admission if he takes all subjects in one sitting rather than two or three sittings. My final question is, in the description it said the minimum number of subjects to be taken is 5; does it mean that my son has to take examination of 5 subjects in each sitting?

    • Hello Gloria,

      To answer your questions:

      1. It is possible for him to sit in both exam series and if his school permits that. We suggest that he sit for his exams whenever he is ready. A general guideline is to take IGCSE exams within 13 months, if he is going to sit for his exams in 2 different examination series.

      2. Spreading out exams will not affect his university admission but we suggest that you check with them on the longest period allowance for different examination series.

      3. The minimum required 5 subjects means for the whole IGCSE duration. It does not mean that he needs to sit all 5 subjects in one sitting. It is wise to check with the universities that he wishes to apply to, and get the confirmation on required subjects in accordance to the course he would like to study in the university.

      Hope this helps.

  4. Hi
My daughter got bad marks in two igcse subjects, and she got U in math. She wants retake the igcse exams on Oct/Nov.

1- Can she register in year 12 (AS level) and retake the igcse exams in Oct/Nov in same year?

2- She wishes to major in visual arts, what are the AS subjects that she should choose?

    Thanks,

    • Hello Jojo,

      To answer your questions:

      1. Yes, she can retake any subject for improvement during the AS/A Level period. However, do check on the exam dates, and make sure they do not clash with the AS/A Level exams dates. We encourage the resit to be as soon as possible since she still has fresh memory of the theory. Furthermore, to sit for IGCSE and AS Level exams in the same examination series could cause unnecessary stress and divide attention.

      2. It is wise to check with the universities that she wishes to apply to, and get the confirmation on required subjects in accordance to the course she would like to study in the university.

    • Hello Sarah,

Fail is when you see “UNGRADED” on your Statement of Results. Grades below C are considered pass. However, if you plan to further your studies, you must get the confirmation from respective school/college/university on this matter. Each school/college/university has its own entry requirement.
