hello,
Im confused right now. i newly join IGSCE and i’m studying at home. I don’t know which subjects are compulsory 5 or 7. I want in engineering line so please suggest me what subject i choose ?
Hello Ahmed,
Please read our article above. The 3 core subjects must be from English group, Maths group, and Science group. The other 2 subjects can be from either group as listed above.
The minimum is 5 subjects. You can take more than 5, it is up to you.
For engineering, it is advisable to take: English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Add Maths (is preferred), and Biology (if you’re going into Biotechnology engineering or equivalent).
You can also combine with some computer subjects if you have the interest or going into that field. For example: Computer Science or ICT.
Your chosen subjects are fine for Dentistry course. Economics is helpful if you want to change your mind to embark into commerce line instead of doing dentistry.
Hello Trafalgar,
You could consider: English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry. The fifth subject you could try Physics or any other subjects from other groups.
Hi,
My parents are planning to sign me up for IGCSE, can u plz tell me the fee structure and if i choose ICT can I still opt for architecture and engineering some time later?
Hello Fatima,
For the fee, you might have to ask the school that you’re going to enrol in. For engineering, you might want to consider taking up Physics and Chemistry. ICT is not consider as core subject.
