If you need it to make up the total subjects for O-Level, then you need it. If you already have enough total subjects, then it is not necessary.

No, you can’t carry forward part of the exam. If you are resitting the subject, you must do all the parts in one examination session.
i took 5 subjects and I scored B in English I want to repeat it but im worried that i may score worse my question is if I scored worse which grade will they accept the higher or the lower?
If you are taking IGCSE, you can choose which grades to use for your further study.
