  The usual minimum grade required by universities is Grade B, for most of the faculties. It would be advisable to resit this subject.

  We do not know the Edexcel requirement. You might want to visit the Edexcel site.
  
  As for the Cambridge syllabus, your niece is “missing” one science subject, which is one of the core subject. In the Cambridge syllabus, she needs to have minimum 5 subjects.
