  1. Hey!! Im doing my gcse course right now without language since I got dropped out. I was thinking if I could go into ib in another country or get into another system, do I have to clear addition language subject?

  2. Im currently studying for my igcse in egypt . Im in grade 10 and im taking 5 o-levels subject and the universities in egypt rquires 8 o-levels and 1 a-level but i wonder to study abroad in germany so i would like to know how many o-levels and A-levels should i take to apply for a university there and i did surf on the internet to find an answer to my question and i didnt find anything i just found that germany universities requires 3 A-levels and 1 As level , so my question here that these rquirements are also for the international students or just for th local students !! I would be grateful if u reply me as soon as possible! Thanks in advance

      The requirements in universities are for all the students both locally and internationally. Not only in Germany, it applies to all universities in the world.

      Nevertheless, some universities do required international students to fulfil certain language efficiency. If you intend to study in Germany, make sure that you have the required German language minimum grade.

  3. Hi,
    My son will be sitting in igcse next year.His school has Urdu,Pakistan studies and Islamic studies along with maths,physics,chemistry,biology,ict and English.
    Can you tell me how many subjects are necessary for him to take specially can he leave Urdu.alternatively what are the other options.

      Your son has all the needed core subjects covered from his chosen subjects. If you want to know more what are the core subjects, read here:

      There are 5 core subjects, which is the minimum requirement for IGCSE.

      Yes, he can leave Urdu, provided he is not taking this in his further study in college or university. He doesn’t need other options as he has more than 5 core subjects needed.
