Hi! Can you please help direct me where I can find centres in Chennai that will accept private candidates (nios/homeschoolers) to write the igcse exams.
Hi Sarah,
You just need to register with your local British Council. Otherwise, you can write to CIE and find out any private schools in your local area that accept private candidates.
Dear IGCSE Team
We are from Delhi currently staying in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My daughter is a student of DPS Dhaka, IGCSE board, she has only six subjects: Eng, Bio, Chem, Phy, Add Math, Math. Will she have any problem to get admission for further study after O level.
Thanks & Regards
Kazi
Hi IGCSE team, would you please let me know whether there is any difference of value in taking igcse exam between May/ June or November 2016?
Second, is it be possible to break subjects for exam in two different times such as taking five subjects- English, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in May/ June 2016 and other three subjects -Eco, ICT and French in November 2016 to get ICE award?
Does the value of getting ICE award will be lowered if I take subjects in two different times for exam?
Please help me to know these for my clarification and exam form fill up.
Hi Shruti,
There is no difference between the June series and Nov series. The only difference is, some subjects might not be available in the Nov series, or the June series. You must double check on this.
Yes, you could enter different subjects for each examination series. The value won’t get “lowered”, there is no such thing. You must find out how far apart you could break up your exam entries in order to obtain ICE. For this matter, please write to CIE directly.
hey igcse centre..??? can i please know when the economics(0455),business studies(0450),accounting(0452) specimen paper for the year 2016 will be available ??????
I am confused about the difference between core and extended … can a student get an A if he/she takes core papers? or he/she has to take extended to get an A? Thanks.
Hi Melati,
If the student takes “Core curriculum”, the highest grade he/she would get is Grade C. If he/she wants to score Grade A, he/she must take “Extended curriculum”.
Thank you for your visit! We have got a new site. Please go to our new site Skolatis.com to leave your comments and continue the hot discussions! See you there!

Hi Kazi,
As long as she has taken what is required for her further study, it should be fine.
