  1. Hello. I have a question.

    Year 11 – O level
    College – A level?
    University???

Can you tell me whether this is right and tell me which one is it?

    • Hello Miu,

Generally, the route would be as below:
      Year 11 – O Level/IGCSE/GCSE
      Year 13 – A Level/IB/Foundation/any equivalent qualification
      University

Though some countries might be finishing earlier, e.g: Year 10 – O Level/IGCSE/GCSE.Each country may name it differently. You ought to check with your local exam board, or colleges.

Furthermore, A-level is not college. It is often part of college/university entry requirements. Some colleges might offer A Level in order for students to continue their Bachelor degree in the same college. Thus creates a misunderstanding as “College – A Level”. But there are some colleges/universities that offer foundation programs which do not require A level. However, it’s best to check the entry requirements either from the college/university’s website or contact them directly.

  2. Hello
I had a query whether I can get admitted into foreign universities if I give my O levels and A levels as a private candidate

    • Hi Muhammad,

The universities don’t discriminate candidates based on “Private Candidate”. So please rest assured that you would be accepted accordingly. Furthermore, we strongly suggest you to check on the university entry requirements for your future studies.

    • Hello Fatimakiyani,

We suggest that you prepare for your exams as early as possible. You can revise the subjects from the beginning. Highlight the important facts that you think could be on the test (you should refer to the latest syllabus on what is expected during exams here: https://www.igcsecentre.com/cambridge-igcse-subjects-syllabuses/). You can then use the past exam papers as your revision. Start with the latest papers as they have the newest syllabus format and continue with the older ones date back from 5 to 10 years. Then, revise on the most common mistakes that you always seem to make. Make notes and revise them, so you can avoid making the same mistakes in your actual exam.

  3. I just joined a school at 9th grade. I am gonna finish 9th grade this month. So I’ll be doing O levels after that.I was thinking if it is possible for me to do O levels in 6 months and maybe do a diploma afterward. I’m on the older side in life so the more quickly I can finish my academic life the better.

    • Hi Jaison,

There is no maximum age limit to sit for exams. We have got candidates age 45 taking our online revision courses. Therefore, do not rush just due to the age.

We always suggest candidates to register for exams whenever they are ready. A general guideline is within 13 months. But if you still want to finish it in just one exam series, it is best that you register as a private candidate than attaching yourself in a school.

    • Hello Clive,

Grade D is a pass. However, if you plan to further your studies, you must get the confirmation from respective school/college/university on this matter. Each school/college/university has its own entry requirement.
