Hello,
I have been suggested to complete GCSE /GCE O level. I am willing to complete it as a private student in Maharastra(India).
I have to complete 4 subjects.
Please guide me.
As a private candidate, the local British Council is the best place to sit for the exams or you can also find a list of registered Cambridge schools in your local area here: https://www.cambridgeinternational.org/i-want-to/find-a-cambridge-school/ and check with the school if they accept private candidate.

My daughter did O level she want to do A level. However, before she do A level she must do AS level then A level. This means after O level she needs additional 2 years to join a university in the second year. Is it not advantageous to join university freshman level after O level finish in four years university BSc. degree in four years instead doing A level finish in 5 years Post O level?
The normal process would be: after completing O-level, proceed to any A level/IB/any equivalent qualification, then university. Students typically study four subjects at AS-level and three subjects at A-level. The standard admission requirement for UK universities is three A-level subjects.
Some universities offer foundation programs which do not require A level. Your daughter may opt for foundation program if she is very certain on the degree program she intends to take thereafter.
Having a full A Level (or sixth form or equivalent) certificate means the candidate is fully prepared for the Bachelor degree program, and have advantages on “feeling easy” for the first year of Bachelor degree. Most of the top universities require a full A Level (or sixth form or equivalent) certificate as entry requirement.
There is no right or wrong for either option. You may assess the options with your daughter by contacting the universities, and check on their entry requirements. Most importantly, do not make decisions based on “hurry” or “wanting to graduate faster”. It is proven there is no significant benefit for graduating faster, in terms of job performance.
I need help. Some clarification actually. A friend of mine got her o’level certificate at a South African school. She came to Mozambique and tried to get an equivalence for it but was told that she does not have grade 12. Does completion of the o’levels mean you have only done grade 11?
If the university you wish to apply to requires you to take another subject, we strongly suggest that you follow entry requirements. Otherwise, you may check other college/university that will accept your qualifications.
I am giving my GCE o levels in this may june 2019 sessions. Next I have a plan to complete my A levels. What are some of the best books to study..please recommend..thank you in advance

Are GCSE and IGCSE same?
Hi Shughanshu,
GCSE and IGCSE are not the same. GCSE is the British national curriculum, while IGCSE is the international curriculum.

Hello Marcos,
O-level is equivalent to IGCSE, UK GCSE, fifth form or Year 11. On the other hand, Year 12 and 13 is for AS/A-level.
Candidates normally will proceed to A-level after completing O-level.
Some countries offer O Level at Grade 10 (for example India). Your friend needs to find out at which grade does the Mozambique school offer O Level.
I tested the grad 11o level 7 subject from Sudan and I want to study the university in Egypt and asked for 8subject what solution
