  2. My daughter is 13 yrs old, currently studying year 7 Cambridge IGCSE in a local international school in malaysia. She’ll be going to year 8 in 2015 but she is weak in her english and maths subjects. How can I help her to improve ?
What revision / extra workbooks should I buy to help her to revise and prepare ? Pls recommend.

    • Hi Mrs. G,

English and Maths are practical subjects, which means she needs to understand the techniques and practise them.

For Maths, any practice workbooks are fine to practise her skills. For English, you may need to get someone to mark her works and give constructive suggestions in improving. As most of the practice workbooks do not come with answer sheet. Furthermore, English is a very subjective subject which you can’t provide answer sheet anyway (except Reading passages).

We will be updating our Recommended Books section, to include some new books for new syllabuses. Please stay tune for the updates.

  3. Hi i intend to let my daughter to take IGCSE in 2017. May I know what grade of books should I let her study now. Currently she is studying secondary one in Singapore local school. Pls advised.

    • Hi Mrs Choo,
If you intend to sit IGCSE in 2017, you must start year 10 from beginning of 2015, then take the exams in Oct/Nov 2017.

This is just a guideline, it all depends on how much the candidate is ready by that time.
